![]() Nothing wrong with making her better and a more enjoyable experience to play with without having to beg for decent items beforehand. Point being, she could really do with a few tweaks to make her smoother and less cooldown reliant in the early stages of the game, shes by far the worst character to start out with when it comes to dealing with a lot of the bosses in the first few stages. The reason why sprinting is so important is without using rose bucklers, even Tougher Times won't block for you 100% of the time, no matter your stacks, and you will get one shot by most enemies at 100+ minutes. It is completed as ArtificerArtificerThe Artificer is a high burst damage survivor who excels in fighting large groups and bosses alike.Class: RangedHP: 110 (+33 per level)Damage: 12 (+2.4 per level)Umbra: Herald of the House Beyond by fully defeating a Teleporter Boss in a one-second burst of damage. I'm not going to count the huntress since most of her damage comes from her other abilities which slow/stop her movement entirely. Artificer: Chunked is a challenge in Risk of Rain 2. Her damage is high and that's nice and all, but with limited basic attacks, charge time on her M2 that slows as you cast it and an incredibly short range ultimate shes the worst pick if you're trying to get onto a long run reliably.įrankly I feel like the Engineer is the only class for the ridiculously long runs since no other character can sprint forever while still reliably doing damage. No mobility is not the end of the world since you can make up for that with items once you get going. I agree with you on that part, shes fun, but to try and state that shes anything above average at best is just bias. Thankfully, there's a Risk of Rain 2 mod that makes this worry a thing of the past. So, it's rather surprising to see that the game lacks a native sniper character. So there's that too.Theres alot of people that enjoy playing artificer in this thread, and that's fine. 18 Sniper By Rein Risk of Rain 2 is a game that definitely rewards effective long-range combat. 1080Ti user and another 3060Ti user have not reported the same issue. But this is the only game where I notice this behavior to this extreme.Īlso my 3060Ti and another friend's 1070 heat up to like 65C in the main menu for reasons. Not gonna hate on the devs for it because that's the nature of PCs. So really, I think this game is just "like that" for some. Which gets obliterated by the 7700k, with the 7700k leading the FX-8350 in every single test, even the multi-core ones, by margins anywhere between 27%, and more than 100%. ![]() Except that this guy is using an FX-8350. The problem here is that in this game only, he will occasionally be matched and (rarely) even beaten by the 1650 user. His 1080Ti + 7700k would get smoked in this game by a 1080Ti + 11600k. If you are going to benchmark both machines I would suggest both users turn off both of the above settings. His 1080ti is basically asleep playing Risk of Rain 2 because the game is soo CPU intensive, If you want to maintain high fps Shadows and corpses essentially need to be turned off. Originally posted by Morky Mouse:The game is very cpu heavy especially when tons of enemies are involved, having an 8-core cpu will greatly improve performance over a 4-core unfortunately. Still love this game, still highly recommend it, but at least on some systems it runs much worse than it has any right to. They are visual, but I also notice things like 122 FPS on my Shadowplay FPS counter, so it's pretty obvious while it's trying to cap the FPS it can't do it properly. Oh, and there are definitely frame pacing issues. Once again I think the game is CPU limted, but if it weren't I would expect a game that looks like this to easily get hundreds of FPS when just the level is rendering and a few enemies. I've noticed some of the later levels, before anything really spawns in or gets too crazy, regularly can't reach my 120 FPS cap even with basically nothing happening on screen. I think the game is CPU limited and doesn't utilize cores well (in a recent quick test I got noticeable drops in FPS while one CPU core peaked at ~85% while none of the others were above 40).Īlso I believe there may be memory issues of some kind, or at least some sort of long term performance issues. Checking my CPU and GPU usage, no core maxes out, and the GPU usually stays below 50% utilization. That means there is a bottleneck somewhere. It regularly dips below this, even well before things get their craziest. I have my FPS capped to 120 with an RTX 2070 and a Ryzen 7 2700X. While I don't expect amazing performance at all times with how chaotic this game can get, it is not well optimized. ![]() ![]() Integrated graphics card? That is verifiably false. If you are having issues it is probably your system. Originally posted by smoking_greaseroller.:I had every setting to the lowest possible, I just think my computer isn't strong enough.
